A.J. is a junior at Shawnee Mission East High School. He is involved in Theatre, Choir, Freshmen Link Crew, Pack of Pals, Share, Thespian Student Executive Board, and is currently the President of the Junior Class.

He began performing at the age of 7 in The Theatre in the Park’s production of The Music Man. He went onto perform in The Wizard of Oz, Seussical, and Bye Bye Birdie at Theatre in the Park, and in Oliver, Peter Pan, and Beauty and the Beast at the Jewish Community Center. He has also performed in multiple productions with Music Theatre for Young People of Kansas City, as well as shows with The Kansas City Symphony.

He made his professional debut as Angie in Musical Theatre Heritage’s acclaimed production of Gypsy.

At Shawnee Mission East, A.J. has performed as Uncle John in The Grapes of Wrath, Bickel in Footloose, Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace, Mr. Jones in Machinal, LeFou in Beauty and the Beast, Dobchinsky in The Government Inspector, and most recently as Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

A.J. plans to study Theatre in college and to someday work in professional Theatre.
